Cui Min was born in Jinzhou, a city in northern Liaoning Province of China. She graduated from the oil painting department of the China Academy of Fine Arts with the equivalent of an MA.

She currently teaches in the same Academy, at the Institute of Continuing Education. She is a member of the Zhejiang Artists’ Association and is also Director of the French National Association of Culture and Arts in China.
